I use it in Final Cut a bit – largely for scrubbing through material and assembling rather than any of the trimming functions you get in Avid or any effects work… but I’m looking to learn Motion properly soon, so I’ll have to see if it’s intuitive to have a wheel or not.

I thought about getting this after an instructor recommended it. This blog post was very useful. Have you ever tried using it in other applications? (final cut, photoshop, color, after effects, etc)

I guess i need to take a look at this again. I have one in the basement, i bought like 2 years ago. I guess if I was used to tape decks, I’d probably use it more.

Do you have any tips for it?

Speaking of interfaces, i was really looking at this new Tangent Wave for controlling Apple Color. I guess at color grading those simultaneous moves ca really make a difference.
